Role Overview

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other disciplines and contractors on drawings, specifications, and design deliverables.
• Review shop drawings and submittals to understand how design and construction are inter-related.
• Attend construction and design verification walks and submit observation reports.
• Prepare structural calculations and finite element models under senior engineer supervision.
• Lead development of reports and construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Analyze and design basic structural components of buildings and other structures.
• Coordinate structural models and drawings with other design disciplines.
• Mentor interns and junior project team members.
• Participate in developing office standards and procedures.

Minimum Required

• A bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Eight or more years of experience are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• A master's degree is preferred.
• A Professional Engineering or Structural Engineering license is preferred.
• An NCEES Record is preferred.
• Experience with semiconductor, microelectronic, life science, or data center facilities is preferred.
• Design-Build experience is preferred.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as RAM, STAAD, Tedds, or Enercalc is preferred.
• Autodesk Building Systems Software experience is preferred.
• Consulting engineering and continuous improvement experience are preferred.
