Overview

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Test Power BI reports and dashboards from start to finish so issues are found before reaching users.
• Check reports and dashboards for data accuracy, consistency, and ease of use.
• Validate data sources, transformations, and calculations against agreed requirements.
• Log defects and gaps clearly and share test results in a simple, timely manner.
• Work with developers and analysts to agree clear success criteria.
• Write test scripts, maintain test plans, and improve QA steps, test cases, and process notes.
• Look for sensible opportunities to use automated testing.
• Keep testing aligned with data governance and security rules.

About You

• Experience in QA, data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
• Ability to test report outputs against source data and business rules.
• Ability to write SQL to check, join, and compare data.
• Understanding of clear and easy-to-use visual reports.
• Experience using Azure DevOps in an Agile team.
• Ability to work effectively with people in different locations and time zones.
• Ability to explain problems, test results, and next steps in clear language.
• Ability to follow data security and governance procedures.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business intelligence, data science, or a related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• MS Power BI certification is preferred but not required.
• At least three years of experience in a similar role is required.
