Lead Solution Architect, Customer Data Management

Lead the design, development, and implementation of the team’s data powered architecture, including data fabric and data mesh patterns aligned with enterprise standards

Partner with squad leads to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

Define solution architecture standards, integration patterns, and technology approaches that balance innovation with governance and security requirements

Coordinate cross-functional workstreams to ensure architecture decisions are validated, documented, and communicated across stakeholder groups

Manage architectural risks, dependencies, and trade-offs; identify conflicts early and escalate appropriately to leadership

Drive the alignment of Customer Data Management architecture with enterprise data strategy, ensuring consistency with RBC’s broader data ecosystem and architectural governance frameworks

Collaborate with business partners across P&CB and other LOBs to understand use cases and translate them into architectural blueprints and implementation roadmaps

Mentor/consult with other solution architects and technical leads within squads; establish best practices for architecture documentation and design reviews

Experience architecting solutions within large, global financial institutions or other complex regulated environments

Background in data governance, data quality frameworks, or enterprise data strategy

Experience working in agile environments with distributed, multi-squad delivery models

Lead a high-impact strategic initiative shaping RBC’s data future
