Role Overview
The Lead Software Quality Engineer, an Individual Contributor, is a Functional Quality Expert responsible for driving company-wide adoption of the IoT Software Quality Framework across the connected lighting ecosystem, including edge devices (luminaires, drivers, controllers), platforms, gateways, cloud, mobile applications, and security layers.
This is not an operational Quality Assurance role.
The position focuses on enabling and influencing global BU Stakeholders (e.g.
R&D teams, Architecture teams, Test Teams, Product Management teams and Field teams) to embed reconfigurable, scalable, secure, and reliable software quality practices into engineering execution.
The ideal candidate must have prior hands-on experience within IoT software engineering (embedded + cloud-connected systems) and must understand system-level integration challenges such as device-cloud communication, OTA updates, interoperability, performance, and cybersecurity risks.

• Drive the implementation of the defined Software Quality Framework across Firmware (MCUs, RTOS-based systems)., Gateway / edge computing platforms., Cloud services & APIs.Mobile applications (iOS/Android).'Device-cloud connectivity layers.
• Firmware (MCUs, RTOS-based systems)., Gateway / edge computing platforms., Cloud services & APIs.Mobile applications (iOS/Android).'Device-cloud connectivity layers.
• Ensure system-level traceability across hardware–firmware–cloud–app interactions.
• Institutionalize risk-based engineering practices for distributed Connected Lighting Architectures.
