Job Summary
Citi seeks a Lead Software Engineer to architect and deliver enterprise-scale Agentic AI applications combining full-stack engineering and LLM integration.
The role defines technical direction, builds production systems for autonomous multi-agent workflows, and leads engineering teams across Citi’s global technology organization.
Responsibilities
- Architect secure, resilient, high-performance full-stack applications for complex Agentic AI workflows.
- Develop React and TypeScript frontends, Python and Java microservices, and RESTful or gRPC APIs.
- Design stateful, multi-turn, and multi-agent AI workflows using Agentic AI frameworks.
- Integrate applications with Citi’s secure LLM gateway, including token, rate-limit, and billing management.
- Establish technical standards and engineering practices across teams.
- Integrate relational and vector databases to support stateful AI operations.
- Lead multiple engineering teams and own evaluations, hiring decisions, and team growth.
- Evaluate emerging AI frameworks and tooling.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience with technical delivery and team leadership on large-scale programs.
