About the role
FIS is hiring a Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer for always-on, low-latency, highly secure payment platforms.
This is a senior technical role spanning distributed systems engineering, cloud platforms, and reliability architecture.
The role influences architecture, engineering practices, and operational maturity while remaining hands-on with complex reliability challenges.

What you will do
- Own reliability outcomes for real-time, distributed payment and transaction-processing platforms with strict SLAs, SLOs, and regulatory requirements.
- Define reliability architecture and standards for how systems are designed, deployed, observed, and operated.
- Design enterprise observability platforms covering metrics, logs, traces, SLOs, and SLIs.
- Lead high-severity production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive long-term systemic fixes.
- Drive SRE practices including error budgets, capacity modeling, resilience testing, graceful degradation, and operational readiness.
- Architect automation and self-service platforms that reduce toil, operational risk, and release friction.
