Role Overview
The Lead Services Customer Operations Specialist drives customer success and growth across controls retrofit projects and post-sales lifecycle management.
The role covers service projects, support agreements, training, professional services, retention, expansion, and customer advocacy across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia region.
The position has moderate autonomy and requires significant operational judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between internal and external stakeholders and support Software and Control Solution clients.
- Build customer relationships, act as the regional single point of contact, and manage communications.
- Own subregional P&L, customer orders, fulfillment, revenue, margin, billing, and cash collection performance.
- Develop customer communication plans and coordinate value-adding change orders.
- Develop service proposals with labor, schedules, subcontractor scope, tooling, logistics, and risk assessments.
- Lead delivery planning, risk mitigation, contingency planning, and contract execution.
- Lead and coach multidisciplinary and multicultural teams including employees, contingent workers, craft labor, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with senior customer and supplier management on commercial, technical, execution, and compliance matters.
- Provide subject matter expertise on controls retrofit projects and post-sales services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- At least 8 years of experience with GE Vernova control product systems or similar control systems in relevant functions.
- High proficiency with computer tools, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30-40% domestically and internationally as needed.
Desired Characteristics
- Ability to develop influential customer relationships.
- Master’s degree from an accredited university.
- Strong communication skills in Arabic.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, problem-solving ability, and experience leading programs or projects.
- Experience in GE Vernova control product field services or OTR engineering.
- Experience with SAP.
Travel
- The role requires approximately 30-40% domestic and international travel as needed.
