Lead / Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS

Position

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
• Apply DevOps and Agile principles, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps to streamline development workflows.
• Manage Linux-based infrastructure and networking for microservices communication and service mesh implementations.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
• Use Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration, including service discovery, auto-scaling, and network policies.
• Automate infrastructure management using Terraform, Ansible, Helm Charts, and Python.
• Utilize AWS services including IAM, EC2, S3, Glacier, VPC, Route53, EBS, EKS, ECS, and RDS.
• Define and optimize development, testing, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations.
• Contribute to architecture design and software development activities.
• Manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production errors.
• Collaborate with leadership on process improvements, operational efficiency, and strategic technology initiatives.
• Apply multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud, emerging technology, security, and compliance practices.

Required Skills Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience with modern DevOps tools, cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, containerisation, orchestration, and CI/CD.
• Required technical expertise includes Kubernetes or EKS, Terraform, Linux, shell scripting, GitOps, Kustomize, Helm, and AWS networking.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor team members, collaborate effectively, and drive process improvements.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Background in security practices and compliance frameworks in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with serverless computing, edge computing, and observability tools.
• ArgoCD, Terragrunt, Atlantis, Kyverno, or OPA experience is advantageous.
• Python or Go programming experience is advantageous.
