Lead Product Service Engineer - Turbine Controls & Operability

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical resolution of complex controls system issues involving gas turbine and steam turbine controls and operability.
• Identify trending issues and provide countermeasures to protect the customer fleet.
• Communicate technical issues and countermeasures through relevant internal communications and alerts.
• Collaborate with design engineering, product management, customer engineering centers, manufacturing, sourcing, vendors, and customers.
• Drive complex root cause analyses and corrective actions while communicating with field teams, leadership, and end customers.
• Promote GE Vernova Way traits, lean principles, and simplification in daily activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• At least five years of direct experience in controls, operations, engineering, or installation of gas turbines, steam turbines, or relevant functions.
• Proven experience in a customer-facing or engineering role.
• Strong oral and written communication in English.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% to 15% within and outside the region.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience with GE Vernova HA/F Class Gas turbines is desirable.
• Resourceful problem-solving ability and willingness to navigate technical problems under pressure.
• Ability to communicate with field engineers, site engineers, plant managers, and leadership.
• Ability to change direction across multiple concurrent projects based on business priorities.
• Expertise in ControlST application algorithm modifications and turbine operational trend data analysis is desirable.
• Strong oral and written communication in Arabic is desirable.

Travel

• The role requires approximately 10% to 15% travel within and outside the region.
