Role Overview
Lead NCS engineering activities for Yokogawa's industrial automation and information systems work.
Support SCADA and RTU engineering solution design, validation, testing, and technical governance.
Engineering Solutions and Architecture
- Lead SCADA and RTU engineering solution design and supervise feasibility testing.
- Build scalable SCADA layouts, HMI graphics philosophies, alarm management strategies, and database links.
- Review P&IDs, FLDs, logic diagrams, C&E matrices, and other technical documentation.
Team and Standards Leadership
- Direct engineering teams, mentor junior staff, and set coding and technical standards across multiple sites.
- Review design inputs, identify discrepancies, and communicate corrective actions to stakeholders.
- Contribute to engineering standards and specifications and evaluate their effectiveness.
Inspection, Contracts, and Knowledge
- Inspect engineering works and existing installations and recommend remedial actions for conformance.
- Explore issues and needs, including potential causes and barriers.
- Manage relationships with contract service providers under an established contract management plan.
- Use knowledge management systems to apply lessons learned from previous executions.
Technical Skills
- Use industrial communication protocols including Modbus, OPC UA/DA, DNP3, and IEC 61850.
- Apply knowledge of data historians, cybersecurity concepts, international standards, and implementations.
- Work independently on engineering development, specifications, testing, action planning, regulations, and procedures.
Education
