Requirements

- Deep familiarity with Qatar's regulatory landscape and government/enterprise cybersecurity requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex security projects
- Fluency in English is required
- Availability for a 2.5 month freelance assignment in Doha, Qatar
- Willingness to work on site as needed
- Arabic language skills are a plus

About the Role
- We are seeking a Lead Information Security Implementer (Freelance) to drive a high impact, NIA compliant information security programme for our client in Doha, Qatar.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the end to end implementation of NIA compliant information security programmes
- Translating regulatory requirements into actionable security controls and processes
- Engaging with stakeholders to assess current security posture and identify gaps
- Designing, documenting, and deploying robust security frameworks aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 standards
- Ensuring all deliverables meet Qatar’s government and enterprise cybersecurity requirements
- Providing hands on leadership and guidance to client teams throughout the engagement
- Potentially working on site in Doha to ensure seamless delivery and stakeholder alignment
What We’re Looking For
- Active certifications: CISSP, CISA, and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer
- Proven, hands on experience delivering NIA compliant information security programmes within Qatar
- Deep familiarity with Qatar’s regulatory landscape and government/enterprise cybersecurity requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex security projects and drive outcomes in high stakes environments
- Builder mindset: ownership, initiative, and a relentless focus on impact
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Technical Skills & Requirements
- Expertise in ISO/IEC 27001 implementation and audit
- Comprehensive understanding of NIA standards and frameworks
- Strong knowledge of Qatar’s cybersecurity regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with risk assessment, gap analysis, and remediation planning
- Ability to translate technical requirements into business outcomes
Language Proficiency
- Fluency in English is required
- Arabic language skills are a plus
Other Requirements
- Availability for a 2.5 month freelance assignment in Doha, Qatar
- Willingness to work on site as needed
