About the role
The role is a Tech Lead combining hands-on backend development with team leadership.
The position combines Java and Spring Boot engineering with Angular frontend work and a transition toward domain-driven design.
What you will do
- Act as Squad Lead and drive delivery while maintaining high engineering standards.
- Design and implement backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain Angular frontend functionality connected to backend logic.
- Lead the transition to domain-driven architecture with strong bounded contexts.
- Architect clean, scalable RESTful APIs using appropriate HTTP verbs.
- Motivate, engage, and mentor junior developers.
- Advocate for best practices and architectural integrity.
Must-have qualifications
- Proven Tech Lead or Squad Lead experience with team motivation and mentoring experience.
- Advanced Java and Spring Boot proficiency and solid Angular knowledge with at least six years of experience.
- Hands-on Kafka experience.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, and architectural patterns.
- Practical experience with domain-driven design and bounded contexts.
- Deep experience building and consuming RESTful services.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle and JPA/Hibernate.
- Upper-intermediate English level.
Nice-to-have qualifications
- Experience with spec-driven or AI-driven software development is advantageous.
- Experience in loyalty or fintech is advantageous.
- Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker, and Jenkins or GitLab CI is advantageous.
- Experience refactoring legacy structures into modern domain-driven architectures is advantageous.
