Overview
The Lead Engineer – Systems supports the design, integration, testing, and validation of complex rail systems.
The role covers signalling, communications, power, and rolling stock interfaces.
The role ensures subsystems meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Your Role
- Develop and manage system requirements, specifications, and interface definitions.
- Coordinate signalling, SCADA, telecom, traction power, and other subsystem integration.
- Support system architecture design and compliance with standards and client requirements.
- Conduct system-level analysis, modelling, and simulations for performance and safety validation.
- Participate in design reviews, hazard analysis, and risk assessments.
- Support system integration testing, acceptance, and commissioning activities.
- Liaise with civil, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams.
- Ensure requirements traceability through the V-model or similar frameworks.
- Prepare technical documents, reports, and stakeholder presentations.
- Resolve technical issues during design, construction, and commissioning.
