As an OMS Lead Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for the team building and supporting omni-channel commerce capabilities. You will own technical architecture, engineering standards, and key technology decisions while ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, resilient, and aligned with the broader commerce platform strategy. Working closely with the Engineering Manager, Product Owners and Retail Tech Teams, you will deliver scalable, resilient, and secure omni-channel commerce capabilities. You will champion engineering best practices, code quality, observability, and continuous improvement across the team.

10+ years of hands-on experience designing and building Order Management capabilities using Java/Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks, including implementation, extension, integration, and customization of packaged or custom order management solutions.
3+ years of experience leading a technical capability, project or engineering team.
Experience with enterprise order management platforms such as Fluent Commerce (preferred), IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan Associates, Kibo Commerce, or Salesforce OMS is highly desirable.
Hands-on software engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, and modern microservices architectures, building scalable, resilient, and production-grade services.
Deep understanding of the end-to-end order lifecycle, including order capture, sourcing, fulfilment, shipment, returns, exchanges, and post-purchase processes.
Proven experience customizing and extending OMS capabilities to support evolving business requirements, omnichannel fulfilment models, and enterprise integrations.
Strong knowledge of omnichannel commerce operations, including Ship-from-Store (SFS), Buy Online Pick Up In Store (BOPIS), Ship-to-Store, Curbside Pickup, Endless Aisle, and associated order routing strategies.
Solid understanding of inventory management, sourcing optimization, fulfilment orchestration, and order allocation concepts across stores, DCs, and third-party fulfilment networks.
Proven experience integrating OMS platforms with Commerce, WMS, ERP, POS, Payment, 3PL, Carrier, and Customer Service systems to enable end-to-end order visibility and orchestration.
Experience designing OMS-centric microservice architectures with clear domain boundaries across Order Management, Inventory, Sourcing, Fulfilment, Returns, and Customer Service capabilities.
Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms for event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and enterprise-scale system integrations.
Experience with performance engineering, scalability testing, and optimization of high-throughput, business-critical commerce platforms.
Experience defining and implementing capacity planning, resiliency, and scaling strategies to support peak trading events and global commerce operations.
Experience driving technical architecture, establishing engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and influencing technical direction across cross-functional teams.
Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools, coding agents, and LLM-powered development workflows to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery efficiency.
