Role Overview
Lead Embedded Software Engineer role within Stanley Assembly Technologies.
The role supports advanced fastening and riveting technologies for industrial and connected products.
This is a hands-on technical leadership position combining development, architecture, integration, and mentoring.
Workplace
- The position is hybrid.
- The listed work locations are Troy, Michigan, or Highland Heights, Ohio.
The Job
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware in C and C++.
- Develop applications using RTOS and support precision motion and motor-control systems.
- Implement low-level drivers and communication protocols for embedded peripherals.
- Develop and support Embedded Linux systems using Buildroot and Yocto.
- Integrate and debug hardware with firmware and Linux operating systems.
- Use schematics, datasheets, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and JTAG debuggers to troubleshoot systems.
- Support connectivity, embedded security, encryption, and IoT protocols where applicable.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive software quality and development improvements.
