Role Overview
The EH&S Manager is part of a dedicated team based in Mississauga, Ontario and reports to the Distribution Center Site Leader.
The role leads environmental, health, and safety activities for the facility and supports operations, facilities, purchasing, manufacturing, employees, contractors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain site-specific EHS programs aligned with the company EHS Management System.
- Lead process risk assessments and identify effective risk-reduction measures.
- Support incident investigations, employee training, EHS inspections, audits, and EHS committee meetings.
- Maintain regulatory compliance systems, records, reporting obligations, and the facility compliance calendar.
- Oversee pollution-control equipment, monitoring devices, and solid and hazardous waste management.
- Evaluate recycling, waste reduction, energy conservation, water conservation, and raw-material opportunities.
- Coordinate industrial hygiene surveys, safety reviews, hazard analyses, and accident investigations.
- Manage EHS data collection and analyze trends to support continuous improvement and site decisions.
- Participate in annual EHS budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, expenditure monitoring, and roadmap targets.
- Support Workers Compensation management, WSIB clearance letters, and EHS documentation for customer and accreditation requests.
