Lead Electrical Engineer

Job Description Summary

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead LV/MV drive engineering for core AC/DC power electronics systems.
• Perform drive and filter sizing, hardware design, loss budget calculations, earth and protection circuit design, arc flash calculations, and root cause analysis.
• Use calculations, modeling, and simulations to realize product and project requirements.
• Design systems and equipment to meet reliability, testing, manufacturability, material, and cost guidelines.
• Prepare and validate configurations, principles of operation, application guidelines, specifications, BOMs, SLDs, and drawings.
• Verify prototype hardware functional performance under specified operating conditions.
• Support equipment manufacturing at factory and vendor facilities.
• Document functional test requirements, conduct testing to applicable standards, and conduct project factory acceptance tests.
• Coordinate with system engineers and program, product, and project managers.
• Travel as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least 10 years of power electronics design and testing experience for industrial drives.
• Preferred experience with AutoCAD, E-Plan, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• In-depth knowledge of motors and drive control systems.
