Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced **Lead Core Application Support Engineer** to oversee and manage the stability, availability, and performance of core enterprise applications supporting **trading, clearing, settlement, and market data systems**.

This is a senior technical leadership role, responsible for strategic application support, incident management, team leadership, and continuous improvement in a mission‑critical environment.

Key Responsibilitiescore Application Support & Operations

  • Lead day‑to‑day support operations for core trading and post‑trade applications.
  • Act as the **escalation point** for critical incidents and complex system issues.
  • Ensure applications meet performance, availability, and SLA requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring or high‑impact incidents and implement preventive measures.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Core Application Support Engineers.
  • Set objectives, manage performance, and support talent development initiatives.
  • Promote a high‑performance, collaboration‑driven team culture.

Systems, Quality & Reliability

  • Oversee application upgrades, patches, and system enhancements.
  • Manage capacity planning, storage, backups, disaster recovery, and failover processes.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, SOPs, and knowledge‑base materials are maintained.
  • Support automation and optimization initiatives to improve support efficiency.

Application Security & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support application security testing and vulnerability assessments.
  • Maintain compliance with internal governance and industry best practices (ITIL).

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Trading, Clearing, Settlement, IT Infrastructure).
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, including SLA management and performance reviews.
  • Support project execution related to core applications and system enhancements.

Qualifications & Experienceeducation

  • Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Information Technology**, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum **8 years of experience** in **financial services, stock exchange, or similar regulated environments**.
  • At least **4 years in a leadership or senior role** with growing managerial accountability.
  • Strong hands‑on experience supporting **core trading, clearing, settlement, or market data systems**.
  • Proven expertise in **incident management, ITSM frameworks (ITIL)**, and system monitoring tools.
  • Pay: AED30,000.00 - AED35,000.00 per month
