Job Description Summary
Manage site civil construction, installation, inspection, and coordination for power projects during the OTR phase and participate in the ITO phase as assigned.
Projects include substations, HVDC, SVC, and STATCOM facilities, including buildings, equipment foundations, utilities, permits, and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage site civil works construction, installation, inspection, and testing.
- Control subcontractor progress and oversee site resource planning, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Supervise civil works execution while maintaining QA/QC and EHS requirements.
- Perform quantity surveying, take-offs, and invoice validation for civil works.
- Prepare daily, biweekly, monthly, three-week lookahead, incident, PTW, and QA/QC reports.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met and attend technical and progress meetings.
- Provide expert consultation on complex projects and support construction strategy execution.
- Ensure site activities comply with environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
- Support business growth initiatives and customer satisfaction through quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum eight years of experience managing site civil works at 380 kV substations and other power projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil works construction, installation, quality processes, and coordination with MEP and electrical equipment installation.
- Strong knowledge of civil works codes, standards, quantity surveying, take-off, resource planning, and estimation.
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
- Fluent English.
Desired Characteristics
- Ability to understand and implement architectural and structural technical drawings and general arrangements.
- Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical and business audiences.
- Fluency in Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of onsite activities.
- Willingness to travel, relocate in country and worldwide, and work overtime.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
