About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to support a major transformation programme within the Financial Services sector. This is a 6 month contract and a hybrid role based in Cheshire, with approximately 50% onsite attendance required.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a leading role in the delivery of strategic change initiatives focused on workplace pensions, working as part of a large-scale platform transformation programme. The successful candidate will operate across multiple workstreams, shaping business requirements, influencing key stakeholders and driving high-quality analysis outputs throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Lead analysis activities across large and complex business change initiatives.

Work within agile delivery environments, supporting squad-based delivery teams.

Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across business and technology teams.

Produce detailed and high-quality analysis artefacts, including business requirements, user stories, process maps, scope documents and options papers.

Document user stories and acceptance criteria using Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) techniques.

Support and mentor Business Analysts, providing guidance on analysis approaches and deliverables.

Manage and re-prioritise analysis activities across multiple concurrent workstreams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify effective business solutions.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and communicate complex concepts clearly.

Support the successful delivery of strategic transformation objectives.

About You

Significant Business Analysis experience within Workplace Pensions.

Proven experience leading analysis activities on large-scale transformation programmes.

Strong understanding of agile delivery methodologies and squad-based working practices.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience using a broad range of business analysis tools, techniques and standards.

Strong workshop facilitation and requirements elicitation experience.

Ability to work effectively within complex and fast-paced environments.

Strong documentation skills with experience producing high-quality analysis outputs.

Self-motivated with a strong delivery focus and ability to manage competing priorities.

Experience supporting pensions platform transformations.

Exposure to business process modelling and operational change initiatives.

Experience coaching or mentoring junior analysts.

Financial Services sector experience beyond pensions environments.
