Job Title: Lead Accountant (Project Accounting)
Working within the KBR Cost & Profit Team, and closely with the client and wider project team. Responsible for performing advanced and moderately complex accounting activities related to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports; financial statements; and client invoice, requiring a high degree of accuracy. Responsible for reconciling and analysis of complex balance sheet accounts. Attempts to maximise value through an understanding of operational costs, expenses and the impact of decisions on the bottom line.
To carry out month end activities and assist to close out the period. This will include a detailed review of all costs for onward billing to the client
Work closely with the various project teams to produce an accurate forecast on the project
Review timesheet bookings to ensure accuracy of hours and codes
Understand project policies and procedures pertaining to expenses and assist with any expense policy updates
To assist in producing monthly Application for Payment (AFP)
To raise monthly invoice to client
Assist with monthly client Cost Assurance
To help facilitate monthly financial reviews with operations.

Good IT skills with proficiency in Excel and Word
Knowledge of US GAAP/SOX/FCPA desirable
Ability to deal with vendors and clients.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good written and oral communications, including technical proficiency in financial and management accounting.
Team worker with good interpersonal skills and flexible approach.
Able to work on own initiative with little or no guidance from immediate Supervisor.
Proactive and action orientated.
