Job Responsibilities
- Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort laundry according to fabric type, color, level of soiling, and customer requirements.
- Load and unload washing machines and dryers according to required capacity.
- Perform hand washing for delicate, sensitive, or heavily stained garments when required.
- Measure and use laundry chemicals correctly according to the prescribed process.
- Check garments and linen for stains, damage, and washing quality.
- Perform pre-treatment and stain removal when required.
- Follow washing programs, temperature settings, and chemical dosing instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laundry area and equipment.
- Report machine faults, chemical issues, damaged items, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow company SOPs, safety procedures, and productivity standards.
- Support pressing, folding, packing, and sorting activities when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a commercial laundry, hotel laundry, or industrial laundry is preferred.
- Experience operating industrial washing machines is an advantage.
- Knowledge of hand washing and handling delicate fabrics.
- Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and washing processes.
- Physically fit and able to work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
