About the Role
AECOM is seeking a Land Surveyor in Abu Dhabi to perform survey work under the direction of the Resident Engineer. The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying and a minimum of 6 years of surveying experience.

Responsibilities
- Read and understand contract documents, drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures
- Perform survey work under direction of the Resident Engineer
- Establish primary horizontal and vertical control points including reference ties
- Record measurements, rod readings, and calculations accurately in field books
- Verify accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations
- Coordinate with Contractor's surveyor on work priorities and schedules
- Check work by completing traverse closures and bench circuits
- Perform joint measurements of completed work for payment
- Check completed work for conformance to line and grade
- Perform regular checks of Contractor's setting out
- Maintain equipment in proper condition and perform calibration checks
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years of experience in surveying
- Knowledge of CAD software, survey software, total station, data collectors, and GPS equipment
- Strong analytic capabilities and ability to work independently
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle physical aspects of field work
- Commitment to safe work practices

Job Description

- Report discrepancies or technical problems to team leader
- Perform joint measurements of completed work or payment
- Check completed work for conformance to line and grade
- Perform regular checks of Contractor's setting out
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years' experience in surveying
- Knowledge of CAD software, survey software, total station, data collectors, GPS equipment
