Mission
Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking a Labourer to join our Highway Crew, based out of Crescent Valley, BC. This position requires frequent travel to support highway projects across the region.
Main Responsibilities
- General labourer duties associated with road construction operations.
- Required ability to shovel, rake, and handle other small tools.
- Responsible for maintaining the quality of the mat by filling holes, raking, sweeping, and getting it ready for the rolling operation.
- Responsible for ensuring all the necessary tools are ready to go on the appropriate trucks for the day ahead.
- Aid the paver operator, screed operator, roller operator, and foreman to enable them to focus on their jobs.
- Assist in keeping all the equipment fueled, watered, greased, and cleaned.
- Operate equipment as needed.
- Yard, plant, and equipment clean-up as needed.
- Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
- Follow instructions from the supervisor/manager.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications/Experience
- Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent preferred
- Junior position, no experience required
