Laboratory Assistant - Central Specimen Reception (54277)

This role will be responsible for the receiving, sorting, preparing and transport of specimens for analysis; assisting with the registration of pathology requests into the laboratory information system; performing laboratory investigations and general laboratory duties as directed by senior staff.

This position is an ongoing part-time 40 hours per fortnight permanent overnight shift.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience and good working knowledge of data entry and general laboratory tasks.

• Proven ability to work as a part of team.

• Demonstrated ability to work an overnight shift that involves working weekends and public holidays.

• Participate in the on-call roster
