Symrise seeks a Lab Technician for a temporary maternity cover (approx. 4 months) in Dubai. You will weigh fragrance compounds, prepare samples, perform quality checks, and maintain lab records.

Responsibilities
- Weigh fragrance compounds requested by perfumers for projects and sample selection
- Prepare customer and internal samples according to established procedures
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications
- Maintain laboratory databases and records up to date
- Manage laboratory instruments, equipment, packaging, and labeling for sample preparation and dispatch
- Organize, clean, and maintain laboratory materials and equipment
- Conduct inventory counts and monitor laboratory supplies and consumables
- Comply with all applicable Integrated Management System policies, procedures, and quality standards
Requirements
- Professional Education Certificate or Diploma as a Laboratory Technician
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar laboratory position
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Well organized, proactive, able to manage multiple tasks
- Team player with hands on approach and commitment to quality and safety

The Role
- Weigh fragrance compounds requested by perfumers for projects and sample selection.
- Prepare customer and internal samples according to established procedures.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain laboratory databases and records up to date.
- Manage laboratory instruments, equipment, packaging, and labeling for sample preparation and dispatch.
- Select appropriate containers, packaging materials, and labels for sample shipments.
- Organize, clean, and maintain laboratory materials and equipment.
- Conduct inventory counts and monitor laboratory supplies and consumables.
- Ensure laboratory stock levels are maintained at an adequate level.
- Comply with all applicable Integrated Management System policies, procedures, hygiene plans, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Report any incidents, deviations, or non conformities identified during daily operations to the manager.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment at all times.
About You
- Professional Education Certificate or Diploma as a Laboratory Technician.
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar laboratory position.
- Experience within the chemical, fragrance, flavor, or related industry is considered an advantage.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling formulations and samples.
- Well organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Team player with a hands on approach and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards.
