Role Overview
The role is described as Chef / Kitchen Staff and supports kitchen operations, food preparation, food safety, inventory, sanitation, and meal service.
Kitchen Operations
- Manage kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety, control food costs, and assist with creating and executing the menu.
- Work with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely meal service.
Food Preparation and Cooking
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients as instructed by chefs.
- Assist chefs and cooks with preparing and cooking meals according to recipes and standards.
Cleaning and Sanitation
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Clean and sanitize countertops, work stations, and floors, and dispose of trash.
- Keep the kitchen, storage areas, and equipment clean and organized.
Inventory and Stocking
- Assist with receiving and unloading deliveries.
- Store ingredients properly, check inventory levels, and restock supplies.
