Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Ensure the efficient and thorough cleaning of all items to maintain hygiene and safety standards
- Regularly clean and sanitize countertops, sinks, stovetops, and kitchen surfaces
- Sweep and mop floors to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist in the care and maintenance of kitchen equipment, including cleaning and ensuring proper functionality
- Collect and dispose of kitchen trash and recycling in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Assist with the organization and storage of kitchen supplies, including dishes, utensils, and cleaning materials
- Notify the kitchen staff of any supply needs
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP guidelines
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not always required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced kitchen environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines is beneficial

Job Purpose
- The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen including dishwashing, sanitizing kitchen equipment, and assisting in food preparation, ensuring a safe and hygienic kitchen environment for the culinary team.
Job Responsibilities
