We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our Food Services team. Our department plays a vital role in providing safe, nutritious, and high-quality meals to patients, residents, staff, and visitors every day.
As a Kitchen Hand, you will be part of a supportive team environment where cleanliness, food safety, teamwork, and customer service are highly valued. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and contributing to the wellbeing of others through quality food service.
Carry out a range of duties associated with maintaining the cleanliness of food preparation equipment, food disposal and waste management areas in a clean hygienic state with the Launceston General Hospital (LGH).
Ability to maintain all food service equipment and surfaces in a clean and hygienic state.
Experience in floor cleaning, pot wash and the use of cleaning chemicals inside a production kitchen.
Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions, and to cooperate with other personnel within the department to work successfully as a team.
An understanding of, and ability to comply with, workplace health and safety requirements.
