Role Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Kafka Architect with strong expertise in Spring Boot to design, develop, and optimize large-scale, real-time data streaming platforms. The candidate will lead the architecture and solution design for event-driven systems, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and high throughput in mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Kafka-based event-driven architecture for high-performance, real-time systems.
  • Develop and maintain Spring Boot microservices integrated with Kafka for producing and consuming events.
  • Define Kafka cluster architecture (brokers, partitions, replication, schema registry, security, monitoring).
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of Kafka clusters.
  • Ensure data governance, reliability, and fault tolerance in distributed systems.
  • Optimize Kafka for throughput, latency, and storage efficiency.
  • Lead the adoption of stream processing frameworks (Kafka Streams, kSQL, Flink, or Spark Streaming).
  • Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and business stakeholders to design event-driven workflows.
  • Define best practices, design patterns, and reusable frameworks for Kafka + Spring Boot integrations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide performance tuning guidance.
