Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing company health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify and report unsafe conditions and acts
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and permit to work systems
- Ensure employees and contractors use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Participate in safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness campaigns
- Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare reports
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, incident logs, and safety documentation
- Support emergency preparedness activities, including evacuation drills and fire safety inspections
- Monitor housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent safety certification preferred
- 0–2 years of HSE experience (fresh graduates encouraged)
- Good understanding of workplace safety principles
- Strong observation and hazard identification skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Job Summary
- The Junior Safety Officer supports the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify and report unsafe conditions and unsafe acts.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and permit to work systems.
- Ensure employees and contractors use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness campaigns.
- Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with corrective actions.
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, incident logs, and safety documentation.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, including evacuation drills and fire safety inspections.
- Monitor housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Report safety hazards to supervisors and follow up on corrective actions.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Ensure safety signs, firefighting equipment, and first aid facilities are properly maintained and accessible.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent safety certification is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–2 years of HSE experience are encouraged to apply.
