Role Description
- Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations and company standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits, as well as identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as incident reports, safety statistics, and compliance records for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and deliver HSE training, promote a strong safety culture, support incident investigations, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams.
- Monitor contractor compliance, ensure proper use of PPE, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in Health & Safety and Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Background in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering, with the ability to perform risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement control measures.
- Experience in designing and delivering HSE Training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for diverse teams and contractor personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field; relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in an HSE role within industrial, logistics, manufacturing, or construction environments, preferably in the Gulf region.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills, with proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with HSE management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and foster a proactive safety culture.
- Ability to work on site, perform field inspections in operational environments, and respond promptly to HSE incidents and emergencies.
