Role Overview
Veraspec is hiring a Junior QA/QC Engineer / Junior Technical Engineer with hands-on architectural glass processing or facade industry experience.
The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and supports quality assurance, glass sampling, technical reporting, and on-site facade inspections.
Location and Employment
- The position is full-time and based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- The role includes visits to active sites for facade and glass condition assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and maintain factory and site QA/QC procedures and compliance standards.
- Conduct quality checks, technical site inspections, and detailed engineering inspection reporting.
- Identify glass makeups including coatings, tints, tempering, laminated interlayers, and IGU configurations.
- Oversee glass sample cataloging, testing coordination, and client or consultant submittals.
- Support technical specification evaluation and sourcing of appropriate glass products.
- Learn and apply international facade standards and specialized remediation methods.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical, materials, or related engineering discipline.
- At least two years of professional experience in glass processing, facade glazing, or a related manufacturing or construction industry.
- Knowledge of QA/QC workflows, inspection techniques, tolerance checks, and defects including roller waves, optical distortion, delamination, and IGU seal issues.
- Must currently reside in the UAE with valid legal status.
- Strong eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and a proactive technical mindset.
- Strong written and spoken English for professional engineering reports.
- Willingness to visit active sites for facade and glass condition assessments.
