Role Overview
The company handles roads and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
The Junior Planning Engineer will support senior planning and project management teams on construction and engineering projects.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and updating project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Collect daily or weekly site data to compare actual progress with planned milestones.
- Help prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and basic performance dashboards.
- Maintain logs for shop drawings, material approvals, and long-lead procurement items.
- Gather data from site supervisors, cost estimators, and subcontractors for resource and manpower loading sheets.
- Attend project progress coordination meetings and record schedule constraints or delays.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- The role may suit an entry-level candidate or someone with two to three years of construction or engineering experience.
