Junior Geotechnical Engineer in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada

Communicating with clients, sub-consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Assisting senior staff in assigned tasks related to desktop studies, geotechnical analyses, and cost estimate preparation.

Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in data collections and analyses.

Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum of an Undergraduate degree in either Geotechnical Geological, or Civil Engineering.

Experience in a consulting engineering environment would be considered an asset but is not mandatory.

Possess good technical writing skills.

Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment.

Previous experience using AutoCAD, GeoStudio products and MS office is essential.

Previous experience working in the geotechnical or civil engineering is preferred.

Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), teamwork and mentorship skills are essential.

Good time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to contribute to the project by being a team player.

Candidates must be prepared to undertake extended field assignments, generally within western Canada.

Must be physically capable of performing the manual field duties required.

Must be or eligible to register as an Engineer in Training (EIT) in Alberta.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Possess a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent).
