Tetra Tech is looking for a f ull-time entry to junior level Responder, Environmental Scientist, Engineer or Chemist for our Denver, CO office. This is not a remote position.
The selected candidate will join a growing and energetic team supporting environmental projects in the Rocky Mountain region of the U.S. Work includes a broad range of site types from abandoned properties to mine sites, to industrial/commercial facilities, orphaned wells, to spills - with work locations across Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.

· Support field work for Federal and Private clients, including project management, budgeting, and scheduling.
· Provide technical support to a long-term U.S. Environmental Protection Agency contract in the areas of site investigation, Brownfields redevelopment, removal assessment, data management, and emergency response.
· Overseeing and conducting multi-media sampling, field audits and inspections, use of a range of field monitoring equipment, organizing and reviewing data, preparing reports and maps, file reviews, collection of air monitoring data, training and exercise support, contractor oversight, task and project management, and related services.
· Perform tasks across multiple disciplines to bring about successful project completion
· Demonstrate full knowledge of each project’s status and goals
· Emergency response work includes mobilizing to spill or response sites and working with EPA and other parties to support air monitoring, sampling, communications support, and data management.
· Understanding and use of environmental monitoring equipment

· Driving on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
· Passing a criminal background check
· This position requires up to 70% travel to support environmental emergency response situations throughout the Mountain Region of the U.S, on short notice, where you will be a part of field teams and provide technical support to EPA personnel at a range of site investigation and response sites.
· You must be able to mobilize for emergency response efforts from our warehouse in Arvada, CO within 2 hours when you are on-call. Periodic on-call support is up to two weeks per month.
· The ability to respond quickly, within a mandatory response time, is required.
· Work schedule: Primarily Monday – Friday. Includes evenings and weekends as necessary, 40+ hours/week.
· Overtime requirements: When necessary, including 12+ hours/day when in the field
· Night/weekend requirements: Yes
· Work locations: Primarily in our Denver, CO office with up to 70% field work at various locations. Some work occurs at off-site locations as necessary such as our equipment warehouse in Arvada, CO. This is not a remote position.
· Travel requirements: up to 70% travel
· This arrangement is subject to review and may change at the company’s discretion

The Salary Range for this position is $56,000 - $65,000, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
