The restaurant is recruiting a Junior Food Safety Officer in Abu Dhabi.
The role supports food safety, hygiene, quality, and regulatory compliance activities.
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Maintain the Food Safety Management System in accordance with applicable standards and local regulations.
- Inspect food preparation, storage, production, and service areas.
- Monitor temperature control, storage, hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, cleaning, and sanitation.
- Check incoming materials, food products, packaging, and storage conditions.
- Monitor HACCP procedures, critical control points, prerequisite programs, and records.
- Investigate incidents, complaints, and product quality issues and support corrective actions.
Audits, Training, and Records
- Maintain inspection checklists, monitoring records, food safety documentation, and reports.
- Assist with internal audits, supplier inspections, pest control monitoring, and regulatory inspections.
- Support food safety and hygiene training for employees.
- Follow up on corrective actions and verify that issues have been resolved.
- Stay updated on food safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of HACCP principles, food hygiene, food safety practices, and GMP.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the same job role.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards is an advantage.
- Relevant HACCP, ISO 22000, or other food safety certification is preferred.
Job Details
- Job type is full-time.
- Work location is in person in Abu Dhabi.
- Pay is listed as AED 2,500–AED 3,000 per month.
