Purpose Of The Position
As a
Junior Environmental Engineer
- , you will be part of the
- HSE/Environmental Department.
- You will support the implementation of environmental management systems and ensure compliance across project activities, both offshore and onshore.
- You will collaborate with project teams to promote sustainable practices and reduce environmental impacts in accordance with local regulations and client requirements.
- How can you support us?
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for assigned projects.
- Monitor project compliance with environmental legislation, ADNOC Code of Practice, and international standards (e.g., ISO 14001).
- Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and site inspections.
- Support waste management, spill prevention, and pollution control activities.
- Collect and analyze environmental data (air quality, noise, waste, water discharge) and prepare compliance reports.
- Maintain records for audits and environmental reporting (internal and external).
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure alignment with Saipem’s environmental policies.
- Participate in incident investigations related to environmental issues.
- Promote environmental awareness among site personnel through toolbox talks and training sessions.
- What are we looking for?
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
Background
Initial experience in environmental engineering
Languages
Fluent in English
Technical Knowledge
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and environmental management systems.
- Knowledge of environmental monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Understanding of ADNOC and UAE environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and environmental data analysis tools.
