Junior Civil/Structural Engineer (EIT) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Effective use of QA tools and completes checklists and submits them to the project lead as required.

Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering or a related field.

Active Member-in-Training status in Alberta.

Minimum 2-3 years of related experience.

Working knowledge of the requirements of CSA Standards A23.1 and A23.3 Concrete Materials and Methods of Concrete Construction / Design of Concrete Structures, as well as CSA S16 Design and Construction of Steel Structures.

Experience with industrial structural engineering an asset.

Exposure to Civil 3D and Civil earthwork design or construction an asset.

Experience in using structural analysis/design software (STAAD Pro and S-Frame).

Must have a working knowledge and ability to use programs such as Navisworks, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Project coordination capabilities with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget is an asset.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deliverables on an ongoing basis

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at multiple levels including project stakeholders and clients.

Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
