Responsibilities
- Develop and manage seasonal assortments across Newborn and Infant categories for Boys and Girls
- Partner with the Planning team to review seasonal and quarterly OTB budgets and build balanced assortments
- Analyse historical sales performance, customer insights, and market trends to make informed buying decisions
- Monitor category performance and recommend actions to optimize sales, inventory, and profitability
- Create seasonal trend presentations based on global trends, competitor benchmarking, and market research
- Conduct regular competitor, online, and retail market visits to identify emerging trends and pricing strategies
- Collaborate closely with Design teams to develop cohesive seasonal collections
- Build comprehensive range plans covering product mix, color palettes, fabrics, trims, styling direction, and price architecture
- Ensure all products meet quality, safety, and comfort standards relevant to the babywear category
- Prepare detailed and accurate product briefs and tech packs for sourcing and development teams
- Manage product development timelines and ensure adherence to critical path milestones
- Support achievement of category sales, margin, and intake margin targets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Management, Business, or related field
- 2–4 years of buying, merchandising, or product development experience, preferably within babywear, kidswear, or apparel
- Strong understanding of GCC market trends and customer preferences
- Commercial mindset with strong analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Role Overview
- We are seeking a passionate and commercially driven Junior Buyer to manage the Babywear category across Newborn and Infant segments for both Boys and Girls.
- The role involves building trend right and commercially viable assortments tailored to GCC customer preferences while delivering targeted sales, margin, and inventory objectives.
Buying & Assortment Planning
- Develop and manage seasonal assortments across Newborn and Infant categories for Boys and Girls, ensuring products are age appropriate, trend driven, and commercially relevant.
- Partner with the Planning team to review seasonal and quarterly OTB budgets and build balanced assortments aligned with business objectives.
- Analyse historical sales performance, customer insights, and market trends to make informed buying decisions.
- Monitor category performance and recommend actions to optimize sales, inventory, and profitability.
Trend & Market Analysis
- Create seasonal trend presentations based on global trends, competitor benchmarking, customer insights, and market research.
- Conduct regular competitor, online, and retail market visits to identify emerging trends, pricing strategies, product opportunities, and customer preferences.
- Translate trend insights into commercially successful product concepts and assortment strategies.
Product Development
- Collaborate closely with Design teams to develop cohesive seasonal collections aligned with Styli's brand direction and customer expectations.
- Build comprehensive range plans covering product mix, color palettes, fabrics, trims, styling direction, and price architecture.
- Ensure all products meet quality, safety, and comfort standards relevant to the babywear category.
- Prepare detailed and accurate product briefs and tech packs for sourcing and development teams.
Cross Functional Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with Planning, Design, Sourcing, and Production teams to ensure seamless execution of seasonal ranges.
- Manage product development timelines and ensure adherence to critical path milestones.
- Review and provide timely approvals on fits, prints, fabrics, trims, and development samples.
- Track product progress from concept to final production, ensuring consistency with design intent, quality standards, and target costs.
Commercial & Operational Excellence
- Support achievement of category sales, margin, and intake margin targets.
- Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy across product data, specifications, costing, and assortment planning.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the buying and product development cycle.
- Ensure all category activities are executed in line with seasonal calendars and business deadlines.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Management, Business, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–4 years of buying, merchandising, or product development experience, preferably within babywear, kidswear, or apparel.
- Strong understanding of GCC market trends and customer preferences.
- Commercial mindset with strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
