Compensation and Position Details
- Annual pay range is CAD 69,102 to CAD 82,420.
- The position is classified as Position Grade 7 with one opening.
- The schedule is 72 biweekly hours.
About SFU Beedie
SFU Beedie is a business school with undergraduate, graduate, and PhD programs and partnerships across public, private, and nonprofit organizations.
The Beedie IT team develops, maintains, and supports systems and solutions for faculty and staff.
About the Role
The Junior Business Analyst supports and enhances Orbis, Salesforce, and related business systems for student services, academic programs, and administrative operations.
The role works with staff, faculty, and technology teams to align technology solutions with business needs and improve user experience.
The position provides development opportunities in business analysis and enterprise application skills.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements and analyze business processes.
- Support solution design, system configuration, testing, training, and implementation.
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and development for Orbis, Salesforce, and related systems.
- Contribute to process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline and one year of related experience are required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Related experience includes writing and reviewing business, user, and non-functional or system-level requirements, test plans, and training materials.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and prioritization skills are required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Salesforce, CRM platforms, Orbis, or other enterprise business systems is preferred.
- Experience or interest in business process improvement, enterprise applications, and data analysis is valuable.
