Job Purpose
The Junior Accountant will support the Finance and Accounts team.
The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, preparing reports, and supporting daily accounting activities.
The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of accounting principles, and proper financial documentation.
Workplace and Employment
- The role is based in Abu Dhabi.
- Employment is full-time.
- Work is performed in person.
- The successful candidate must reliably commute to Abu Dhabi or plan to relocate before starting work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience; UAE-based experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and journal entries.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices is an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is preferred.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of UAE accounting standards and VAT compliance is preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar is preferred.
Accounting and Bookkeeping
- Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Maintain records of sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and expenses.
- Prepare and maintain journal entries and supporting documents.
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
- Ensure accounting transactions are properly supported and authorized.
Payables and Receivables
- Process supplier invoices and verify them against supporting documents.
- Maintain supplier and customer accounts.
- Assist with payment vouchers and payment schedules.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and maintain collection records.
- Reconcile supplier and customer statements.
Cash, Bank, and Compliance
- Record cash and bank transactions accurately.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain petty cash records and supporting documents.
- Assist in monitoring company expenses and payments.
- Assist with monthly financial reports and month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with VAT documentation and reconciliations.
- Maintain records for internal and external audits and keep accounting documents properly filed.

Compensation
- Pay is AED 3,000.00–AED 4,000.00 per month.
