Position Summary

Supervise and coordinate cooks and kitchen workers for staff cafeteria food operations.

Ensure food is prepared, presented, portioned, garnished, and served according to quality standards.

Kitchen Operations

  • Create decorative food displays and monitor food preparation quantities.
  • Communicate menu specials and out-of-stock items to Food and Beverage service staff.
  • Prepare special meals or substitute items and support cooks with kitchen tasks.
  • Monitor kitchen supplies and food stock.
  • Maintain food safety and product logs.
  • Notify the manager when food products do not meet specifications.

Team and Guest Support

  • Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Address guest service needs and communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.

Workplace and Physical Requirements

  • The position is full time and based at the JW Marriott in West Bay, Doha.
  • Follow company safety and security policies and report accidents, injuries, maintenance needs, and unsafe conditions.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and overhead reaching.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
  • Four to six years of related work experience is preferred.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • No license or certification is specified.
