Jr. Sous Chef - Amaru

Position Summary

Kitchen Operations

• Create decorative food displays and ensure proper arrangement and garnishing of food.
• Monitor prepared food quantities and inform Food and Beverage staff about menu specials and unavailable items.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items and assist kitchen staff with various tasks.
• Monitor kitchen supplies and food stock and maintain food safety and product logs.
• Notify the manager when food products do not meet specifications.

People and Guest Support

• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Address guest service needs and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Build positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.

Safety and Physical Requirements

• Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
• Complete safety training and certifications and maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, and stooping.
• Move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• Four to six years of related work experience is preferred.
• At least two years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• No license or certification is specified.
