The Junior Engineer for Production supports assembly of wind turbine components.
The role performs mechanical and electrical build tasks, operates specialized bolting equipment, and assists with heavy-component lifting.
The position requires understanding of technical drawings and production documentation to support safe, efficient, and high-quality assembly.
Experience and technical requirements
- 2–4 years of hands-on mechanical assembly experience, preferably in wind turbine or heavy equipment manufacturing.
- Practical experience assisting with crane lifting and safely positioning heavy-weight components.
- Proficiency with hydraulic tensioners, electronic torque-angle tools, calibrated torque wrenches, and pneumatic or electric nut runners.
- Ability to follow PFDs, PFMEA, control plans, work instructions, EHSRA, SOPs, and MSDS.
Production responsibilities
- Execute mechanical and electrical assembly tasks for wind turbine components.
- Operate industrial bolting tools and assist with crane lifting activities.
- Document production progress and report technical deviations or quality issues through NCRs.
- Follow standardized work procedures and collect data for Yamazumi charts.
- Complete quality, production, and maintenance checklists and enter data in MES.
Continuous improvement and quality
- Apply basic quality-control tools to perform assembly self-checks and support root cause analysis.
- Maintain awareness of Lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and team-based Kaizen activities.
