Role
The position is for a Technical Office Engineer specializing in quantity surveying and technical office work.
Experience and Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- At least five years of experience in technical office work, quantity surveying, and payment certificates is required.
- Experience with quantity takeoffs, bills of quantities, drawings, and specifications is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit is required.
- Ability to review shop drawings and coordinate between disciplines is required.
- Technical reporting, payment certificate preparation, and site follow-up experience are required.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, are required.
- Infrastructure, roads, or utilities project experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity takeoffs for civil and architectural works according to drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and review bills of quantities and payment certificates.
- Review shop drawings and calculate quantities accurately.
- Track design changes and their effects on quantities and cost.
- Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and contractors.
- Prepare technical reports and follow up on technical office and site requirements.
