Job Summary
A major oil and gas company in Abu Dhabi is seeking Job Performers or Work Permit Receivers.
The role requires relevant oil and gas or petrochemical experience and knowledge of PTW systems, safe work practices, and HSE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant oil and gas or petrochemical experience.
- Good knowledge of Permit-to-Work systems, safe work practices, and HSE requirements.
- Ability to review job safety analyses, job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Knowledge of gas testing, isolation or lockout/tagout, PPE, barricading, and other safety controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive work permits and verify that permit conditions are fulfilled before work starts.
- Ensure work is performed within the approved permit scope and executed safely.
- Conduct toolbox talks and communicate hazards and controls to work teams.
- Coordinate with permit issuers, area authorities, HSE personnel, and site teams.
- Supervise work and ensure compliance with approved safety procedures.
- Stop work and report unsafe conditions or permit deviations.
- Maintain housekeeping and safe working conditions.
- Suspend, close, or hand over permits according to site procedures.
