Purpose of the Role
As a Job Coach , you’ll provide critical support to students participating in our vocational and transition programs—both in the classroom and in the community.
You’ll help students develop essential pre-employment and employment skills, support Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, and build bridges to greater independence and future success.
This is a hands-on, student-centered role that works closely with the transition team, vocational staff, teachers, and community partners.

PURPOSE: The purpose of the job coach is to provide support to the vocation program by supporting work experiences for students in school, community exploration and on work sites.
The job coach works on preemployment and employment skills as well as IEP goals.
The job coach assists the transition coordinator, vocational coordinator, senior job coach, teachers and related staff to support lesson plans and developing students’ vocational skills.
The job coach is a key position within the vocation program.
They provide support for the educational growth of our students as well as developing job skills within the community.
This is a hands-on position working closely with the teacher, senior job coach, vocational coordinator and transition coordinator to deliver direct instruction to the students in the classroom and support on the job/volunteer site.
Job coaches support development and implementation of goals, ADLs, BIP/CIP, socialization and skill training.

OSHA ACT: This position is required to handle human body fluids, biological agents, cleaning chemicals, and/or be exposed to hazardous materials and/or noise levels.
