Java Technical Lead - Equities Technology

Jefferies India is seeking a technically strong and delivery-focused Senior Developer to join the Equities Technology – Equity Derivatives team in Pune. This role will help drive engineering excellence across key initiatives delivered from India, while collaborating closely with technology stakeholders and senior engineers across London and New York.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on development expertise in Java, solid experience with enterprise technologies, strong SQL/database skills, and exposure to cloud, CI/CD, and DevOps practices. Experience in Investment Banking / Financial Services, particularly Equity Derivatives, would be highly valuable. Exposure to or willingness to code in C# is preferred.

Experience in Investment Banking / Financial Services, ideally within Equity Derivatives.

Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.

Background in mentoring junior developers and supporting team capability development.

Exposure to modern observability, monitoring, and production support practices.

Undergraduate degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
