Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Scala, and Microservices architecture .
• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and performant backend services.
• Work with Vertica databases for data management, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Support and enhance Move Services with a basic understanding of the Akka framework .
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Apache Spark .
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer-reported issues in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, and support teams.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and release activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Scala .
• Experience designing and developing Microservices-based applications .
• Hands-on experience with Vertica Database .
• Basic knowledge of Akka and Move Services.
• Basic experience with Apache Spark and ETL processes.
• Exposure to customer issue analysis, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms is an added advantage.
